F3A Nordic Championships 2015 information

F3A Nordic Championships 2015 in classes F3A and Nordic will be held in Sweden between July 7 to July 10.
Bredlanda model flying field approx. 20 km NE of Karlstad will be used for the event.
Hosting club is Karlstads Modelflying Club.

GPS coordinates for the model flying field is: 59°28'27.63"N 13°46'39.12"E

Bulletin No 1 with all information and entry form will be published shortly (it is ready but need to checked for any errors and approved to be distributed).

So why is the event announced so late I'm sure You wonder?
The event was initially planned to be held at another full scale airfield and we had permision from the airport owner to be there with the competition but an authority also needed to give permission for such event at the airfeld (that is inside a culture reserve) and they have still not to this day given any answer nor taken any decision regarding our reguest over 4 months ago. So some weeks ago we started plan B and we are now happy to announce that this plan B solved the situation. Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused You (planning for vacation etc).
Hats off to the Karlstads Modelflying Club that came to rescue.

The most important change is that we have shortened the competition by one day due to fewer pilots then expected.

If You plan to stay at the hotel "Scandic Hotel Klarälven" there is a small discount if you tell You participate in the F3A Nordic Championships 2015. You have to make the booking by Calling the reception at this hotel then and the price is 690 SEK (74 Euro). If You book online on internet the price can be higher or lower then this since online price varies from day to day.

I have also sent out this Bulletin to the team managers in each country to spread it among the team members.

The latest revision from 2013 of the Common rules for Nordic championships F3A and Nordic classes is avaliable for download here:

Hi,

A small Addendum (change) to Bulletin No. 2:

1) P. 9, Judges, Nordic class: Johan Ahlström will not be judge.

2) P. 9, Contest Organization: We have a Flight Line Director to announce now, it will be Daniel Bergqvist that has accepted this task. Thanks Daniel!

Also, the Contest Director has got a question if FAI Sporting License is reguired also in Nordic class and the answer is Yes - see Bulletin No. 1, under P.4 Participating teams:
"All competitors will be requested to present their international FAI Sporting License during model processing."

Hi,

Another small Addendum to Bulletin No. 2:

We have now also from Denmark an FAI F3A judge, Finn Lerager, so now we have 4 FAI F3A judges as preferred.

Hi,
Nordic Schedule N-17 as decided at the Pilot meeting at Nordic Championships 2015 in Karlstad:

It is based on FAI Advanced Schedule A-18 but modified slightly in manoeuvres 1, 8, 9 and 10 to better meet our requirements in the Nordic countries, as it was decided at the Pilot meeting. The text (page 1-2) and the aresti figure (page 3) in above PDF has been checked for any errors by several persons from the Nordic F3A teams and no errors was found.
